Speaking to the investment community – UK and international, as well as the UK clean tech community, is an important part of the Clean Growth Fund’s modus operandi.
Yesterday, at the Mansion House in the City of London, Beverley Gower-Jones – our Managing Partner – was a speaker at the UK/Saudi Sustainable Investment Forum. Addressing an audience of more than 300 people (in person and online), Beverley spoke about to the role and remit of the Clean Growth Fund and in particular the importance of funding innovative technologies that will be vital over the next decade if Net Zero is to be achieved and the equally important issue of access to finance for clean tech entrepreneurs. Beverley also spoke about Return on Carbon (rather than solely Return on Investment) and the necessity to assess climate impacts when considering future investments.
The Forum, organised and hosted by the Saudi British Joint Business Council, brought together Saudi and British investors with government representatives to discuss the partnership and investment opportunities available to support the transition towards greener economies.
