The Clean Growth Fund held its first ever Roadshow event which took place at Tuspark, Newcastle, a thriving tech incubator hub for the North East.
Clean Growth Fund is committed to investing in Seed to Series A clean technologies from right across the UK and so has embarked on a series of regional roadshows which it will hold regularly in varying locations throughout the year. These events help bring the fund’s investment opportunities to entrepreneurs and innovators far and wide, and allows the team to foster new connections with the wider climate tech community.
The first Roadshow, which took place on November 20th, was a huge success. The team were delighted to meet face-to-face with so many innovators from this thriving region that has a history steeped in innovation – this included seeing pitch presentations from 14 early stage cleantech companies, as well as hosting a networking drinks reception where the team caught up with old peers and met many new faces.
The day provided a unique opportunity for early-stage clean tech companies in the region to connect with the fund’s team of experienced investors and to learn more about the support available to them.
