On the 14th November 2023, Clean Growth Fund held its fifth ‘Portfolio Day’, taking place at HSBC Innovation Banking, Finsbury Square, London. Founders and management from across the fund’s 14 portfolio companies came together for a day of networking and best practise sharing.
These important days are held twice a year and give our portfolio companies the chance to interact with peers, to connect and share knowledge. This day is one of the many ways in which we support our portfolio companies on their journey.
We theme our popular Portfolio Days around a topic that we feel will help best equip our management teams with the skills and capabilities they need to accelerate the cleantech products and services they are developing. Led by the fantastic trainers at the Impact Factory, this Portfolio Day’s theme covered ‘Story Telling’ to assist our portfolio companies when communicating their company’s narrative and technology to a variety of different audiences.
This stimulating day also included a presentation from HSBC Innovation Banking who talked the room through seeking alternative sources of funding as well as general advice. Attendees also observed a panel discussion focused on how to use a corporate finance advisor, led by Opus Corporate Finance.
We very much look forward to hosting our next Portfolio Day in 2024 – hopefully with some brand new early stage cleantech innovators companies on-board!
