Clean Growth Fund’s Founder & Managing Partner, Beverley Gower-Jones, has been bestowed an Officer of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire (OBE) in the 2023 New Year’s Honours by His Majesty The King (Charles III), for services to Net Zero innovation.
Over the past 20 years, Beverley has been at the forefront of decarbonisation, advising major corporates, UK and overseas governments, SMEs and clean-technology start-ups on addressing the challenges of climate change.
On Beverley’s list of achievements during her inspiring career is setting up Clean Growth Fund in 2020. CGF is a climate venture capital fund investing in UK-based innovations that significantly reduce greenhouse gas emissions across: power, transport, industry, buildings, waste and water industries and has quickly gone on to invest in a suite of impactful businesses.
As well as founding Clean Growth Fund, Beverley started Carbon Limiting Technologies in 2006, which is the UK’s leading clean tech consultancy having helped hundreds of clean tech entrepreneurs to commercialise and grow their business. Prior to this, Beverley was a founder and Vice President of Shell Technology Ventures, instrumental in Shell’s technology venturing strategy, and also held senior roles at QinetiQ. Beverley also sits on the UK Government’s Net Zero Innovation Board and is a Fellow of the Energy Institute.
